Bump
Delete your Bump account
Bump is an app for making plans with friends, clubs and groups, run by Callum Greig, an individual developer based in the UK. You can delete your account whenever you like.
How to ask
For now, this is done by email rather than in the app. Email admin@bump.events from the email address on your account (or tell us the phone number you sign in with), and ask us to delete it.
We’ll confirm, then delete your account and personal data within 30 days. Deleting the app from your phone doesn’t delete your account.
Email admin@bump.eventsWhat gets deleted
- Your account, profile, vault and friends
- Until you delete your account. Then deleted within 30 days
- Messages, photos, videos, voice notes, polls, plans and splits in shared chats and clubs
- For as long as your account exists, so your chats keep their history. When you delete your account, we delete them. Where deleting them would break a conversation for others (for example, a split other people still owe money on), we remove your name and photo and show "Deleted user" instead
- Codes of your own verified phone number and email
- Until you turn off Let people find me by phone or email, or delete your account
- Things you've shared from your vault
- Until you take the share back or delete your account
What may be kept, and for how long
Some records are kept for a limited time after your account is gone:
- Copies of notifications sent to you
- [12 months]
- Notification delivery logs, server logs and crash reports
- [90 days]
- Records of how features are used
- [24 months], after which they're deleted or made anonymous
- Backups
- Deleted data disappears from our rolling backups within [7] days
- Reports and records of action taken for safety
- Up to 2 years after the report is closed, so we can deal with repeat abuse and respond to legal claims
- Emails with us
- Up to 2 years after the conversation ends
